Pop-up: Casa Barro
Spring
2026
Casa Barro is a curated pop-up experience that celebrates the artistry, heritage, and craftsmanship of Mexican pottery through a collection of unique handcrafted vessels. Located within the historic Chiostro Grande di San Simliciano in Milan, the installation creates a journey that connects flowers and pottery. Inspired by the silhouette of a traditional ceramic vase, the pavilion invites visitors to step inside the vessel itself, experiencing its form at an architectural scale through curved walls, natural textures, and carefully considered lighting. At the heart of the space, handcrafted vases are displayed as collectible design objects, each representing the story and cultural heritage of its artisan. The project combines the elegance of traditional Mexican craftsmanship with a contemporary design language, creating a sensory and memorable environment that highlights the value of handmade objects, materiality, and cultural storytelling.
